I went during my holidays because a local recommended it (indeed the place is filled with locals, which is always a good sign!). I ended up returning because they have a very extensive menu and everything I had was amazing. The service is also very nice. I am looking forward to come back to Athens and eat here again!
We spent 4 weeks in Athens, and ate at Taverna Saita at least three times a week. We enjoyed the menu items as well as the specials. As others have said, the eggplant baked in the oven is stupendous - it is their grandmother’s recipe. The lemon chicken soup is almost enough for a meal because it is filled with large chicken chunks. The sea bream is just amazing as well. So many happy meals and memories at Taverna Saita! We enjoyed everything we at! We also enjoyed watching what appeared to be a choreographed ballet as the wait staff ran up and down the stairs between the downstairs kitchen and the outside seating.
One of the best food and service I had in 7 days in Greece!Perfect location , very fair price and Dokos salad to die for!House wine was very good .During busy day I had to wait for table but it was worth it !Highly recommend
Two locals told us to go here and it was excellent. We really liked.the food. We had 3 veg dishes and we found the flavors v interesting. The service was v good and with a smile. The food.recomkendations were right. I cannot say what we had as it's all Greek to me! But we would go back here again
A must-go restaurant in Athens. Their food is awesome. I went to have dinner twice at the restaurant during my 3-night stay. Loved the baked eggplant. The price is reasonable. Among all the restaurants I went for in Athens, it was the only one where I was not charged for water. Staff were friendly and patient.
Amazing food and service! Aubergine dish was the best I've ever eaten and lamb chops were delicious! I dined outside as it was the perfect weather. Thank you so much, will definitely be back when I'm in Athens next.
Fresh and delicious food, friendly service, they have a terrace and salon downstairs. Went there twice on my trip. I highly recommend the grilled fish and all appetizers!
Food is tasty & staff are lovely too. When a glass broke they were very kind & understanding. Great experience! I recommend the special souvlaki.
